National Health Insurance System

All registered foreigners living in Republic of Korea must subscribe National Health Insurance System(NHIS). NHIS enrollment begins at the time of Alien Registration.

International students have 50 percent discount from Korean nationals’ average payment, unless they are registered for employment. (Discount rate may change according to government regulation)

Gangseo University offers optional (mandatory for first semester students) insurance for international students.
