[ET] 26-1 Graduation requirements and graduation ceremony information
◎ Since detailed requirements may vary for each student (due to course retakes or other reasons), please follow the guidelines below. However, you must personally check all specific details to ensure there are no issues in preparing for graduation.
◎ No one else will take care of or be responsible for your credits or graduation on your behalf.
◎ The department will not be responsible for any problems arising from failure to understand these requirements.
◎ Graduation is only possible if all of the following conditions are met:
1.A total of 130 or more credits earned
2. Completion of all major and general education required courses, and at least one course in each core general education area
3. Language Proficiency Requirement (one of the following must be satisfied):
- IELTS score of 5.5 or higher, or
- TOPIK level 4 or higher, or
- Completion of at least 10 credits of alternative language courses, such as:
-> University Writing, English 1, Humanities Writing / Understanding Literature, English 2, English Special Lecture (IELTS)
4. Completion of at least 6 chapel sessions
5. Passing the graduation thesis (or examination)

- Students must achieve an average score of 60 or higher across three subjects to pass.
- Even if the average is 60 or higher, scoring below 40 in any single subject will result in failure.
4. Improtant Notice
- Please note that all three subject exams must be completed within 3 hours.
- Only students who do not pass the 1st exam will be eligible to take the 2nd and 3rd exam attempts.
- A maximum of three exam attempts will be given. If you do not pass within these three attempts, graduation will not be possible (graduation will be postponed).
- If you do not pass the graduation exam after the final attempt, you may retake the course in the following semester (additional tuition fees will apply).
◎Graduation Ceremony Schedule
- Date: Friday, August 4
- Venue: Hardin Hall Auditorium
- Invitation letters for parents (for visa application) can be requested after the third exam session has been completed (further notice will be provided).
